Thank you for visiting our website and considering supporting our mission. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, donations, purchases, and interactions with Kulture Foundation.

By using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

But don't worry—we've written these in plain language, not confusing legal jargon. We're transparent about everything, including the rules.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Prohibited Users:

Anyone banned from receiving services under Ugandan law or international sanctions
Anyone using the site for illegal purposes
Bots, scrapers, or automated systems (without permission)

3. DONATIONS

3.1 Donation Policy

When you donate to Kulture Foundation:

✅ You're making a voluntary contribution to support our mission
✅ Donations are processed securely via Flutterwave
✅ You'll receive a digital receipt via email

Your donation supports:

Family education programs (school fees, materials)
Artist amplification (platforms, promotion, resources)
Community storytelling (documentaries, cultural preservation)
Youth empowerment (training, mentorship)
Operational costs (to keep the Foundation running)

3.2 Tax Deductibility

Important: Kulture Foundation is a CBO with registration pending.

❌ We cannot currently provide tax-deductible receipts recognized by tax authorities
✅ We can provide organizational receipts showing your contribution
✅ Once registered, we'll pursue tax-exempt status

Why donate anyway? Because your money creates real, measurable impact—regardless of tax status. We document every shilling and show you exactly where it goes.

3.3 Refund Policy

We understand—sometimes mistakes happen.

You can request a refund if:

✅ You made a duplicate donation by accident
✅ You entered the wrong amount unintentionally
✅ There was a technical error in processing

Refund requests must be made within: 7 days of the donation date.

How to request a refund:

Include: Your name, donation date, amount, transaction ID
Briefly explain why you're requesting a refund

Processing time: 7-14 business days

Important notes:

Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Flutterwave processing fees (2.9%) are non-refundable
We may ask questions to verify your identity and prevent fraud
Refunds are at our discretion, but we're reasonable people!

4. SHOP FOR A CAUSE (E-COMMERCE)

4.1 Product Sales

Our online store offers:

Kulture Foundation branded merchandise (t-shirts, accessories)
Artisan-made products (handwoven baskets, crafts, etc.)

All proceeds support: The artisans who created the products (fair wages!) and Kulture Foundation programs.

4.6 Returns & Refunds (Products)

We want you to love what you buy. If you don't, we'll make it right.

You can return/exchange if:

✅ Product arrived damaged or defective
✅ Wrong item shipped
✅ Significant difference from listing description

Return window: 14 days from delivery

How to return:

Email kulturefoundationug@gmail.com with your order number, a photo of the item (if damaged/incorrect), and the reason for return.
We'll provide return instructions.
Ship the item back and we'll issue a refund/exchange once received.

Items must be unused and in original condition. You're responsible for return shipping costs unless it was our error.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Kulture Foundation. You may share our content on social media with credit, but you may not reproduce it for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

6. DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our services are provided "as is" without any warranties. We don't guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, Kulture Foundation is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or UGX 100,000, whichever is less.

7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before any legal action, please contact us at kulturefoundationug@gmail.com to try and resolve the issue informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
